Alpha-Iota Zeta’s philanthropic efforts are many and varied. The chapter sponsors two major philanthropy events every year, one in spring and the other in fall. Alpha-Iota also participates in the national Lambda Chi Alpha philanthropy, the North American Food Drive (NAFD). Last year alone for NAFD, the chapter collected upwards of 19 thousand pounds of food for the hungry in the Evanston area. In addition, the brothers of Alpha-Iota give their time to and hold leadership positions in numerous other campus volunteer organizations, such as Special Olympics, Alternative Student Breaks, and Dance Marathon.
